Scientists identify deadly tilapia virus

Health professionals greatly suggest eating more fish because it is a significant source of minerals called fatty omega acid that is very good for the human body and also easy to digest. However not all kinds of fishes contain that kind of minerals, some are harmful to your health.

Tilapia is everyone’s favorite fish but a recent study reveals that consuming tilapia might put your life at risk.

Tilapia is the common name for nearly a hundred species of cichlid fish from the tilapiine cichlid tribe. Tilapia are mainly freshwater fish inhabiting shallow streams, ponds, rivers and lakes and less commonly found living in brackish water. Historically, they have been of major importance in artisanal fishing in Africa, and they are of increasing importance in aquaculture and aquaponics. Tilapia has become the third most important fish in aquaculture after carp and salmon; worldwide production exceeded 1,500,000 metric tons in 2002 and increases annually.

Tilapia is extremely cheap to breed, easy to cook, and as it is boneless and skinless, numerous people really enjoy eating it.

But wait! Did you know that consuming it might put your life in danger?

Its consumption is at times a seriously problematic issue. Namely, the majority of the Tilapia is not grown in natural conditions but is cultivated in factory farms instead. In opposite to Wild Tilapia which eats algae and plants, the tilapia we buy in stores comes from factory farms, where it consumes different kinds of feeds and fertilizers.

Also,  fish farms can use a whole lot of chemicals to keep Tilapia alive and breed them. Factory farm- bred Tilapia is often fed a diet of corn and soy which is available in bulk quantities, thus making tilapia breeding a cost-effective exercise. Since a lot of chemicals are used during their farming, these same harmful substances can end up in our body when we consume this fish. Farm bred fish do not provide the required nutrients one normally gets from eating fish.

Evidently, the consumption of farm-bred tilapia can cause numerous harmful effects to the body including coronary disease, asthma, joint inflammation and also contains cancer-causing agent, known as Carcinogenic.

Therefore, while it’s not too late, we should be careful about what we eat and avoid potentially detrimental effects of eating tilapia.

According to the vlogger-actress the best way she keeps her children away from the screen of their gadgets is by making them physically busy.

“Mga pagoda! Best way to keep them away from screens is to keep them busy physically!” She shared

She also said that her children may be too tired after being busy physically she’s still glad because her children are also happy whenever they go out to have fun.

“Gusto ring mahati ng katawan ko para sundan sila ng sabay kaso di pala pwede yun but so happy they enjoyed the weekend!” She added

The actress also shared the story of how her Kuya Aki taught his younger sister, Summer how to play golf.

Meanwhile, the netizens were extremely happy to see their photos and videos. Ninang Chynna Ortaleza then commented and said that she misses them already. Of course, Lj responded that they miss her as well.

Ang Bell’s Palsy ay isang kondisyon kung saan napaparalisa ang iyong facial muscles. Maaari itong makaapekto hindi lamang sa iyong mata, kundi maging sa iyong pandinig.
